Employment Game

What “they” don’t want you to know about finding a job…

Meet Elmer T. Jones

Elmer T. JonesA generic Systems Engineer from Dayton, Ohio, Elmer has over 30 years experience looking for work in high-tech industries.

In 2010, Mr.Jones wrote a series of riveting essays describing the Employment Game philosophy for the popular internet men’s magazine The Spearhead. The essays were well received by thousands of Spearhead readers and many wrote to him expressing   thanks for the inside job hunting tips.

Recently having been forced out of another job, he is back on the streets trying to eke out a living and has fortuitously decided to expand his original essays into a full-blown book. He speaks eloquently and viscerally about the employment challenges facing men in the modern age and how they can use forgotten old-school salesmanship to defeat their empowered rivals.

To promote the book and for general laffs, this blog will feature original essays on men’s employment concerns, tools of interest to men, and occasional think-pieces on topical interests in the popular press.

Preach on, Brother Elmer. I write as a Buckeye expat and want to cry every time I think about the Gem City of my youth.

Elmer. I recognize the name from seeing your astute scribblings around the virtual world. I’d like to hear your thoughts on a few things. Please be in touch if interested.

PS Do you have any machine equipment still around?

    Hello Elmer,

I recognize your writings from “The Spearhead” website.
I even recognize your “photo”! 🙂
It’s the mask a young Chinese man tried to use to sneak into Canada in 2010.

Although I understand your need for anonymity from social justice warriors,
but I recommend that you use a different picture or avatar.
I would have recommended King Leonidas (with your interest in spears) or a Spartan Helmet but I have a feeling that you may not be Anglo-Saxon Caucasian.
I think you are ethnically Asian but Culturally Western.
Maybe a picture of the Chinese Master Strategist – Sun Tzu would be more apt.

Anyways, I hope to hear from you and wish you the best.
    Until next time.

Thanks Ron. I am indeed Uncle Elmer from the Spearhead.

The old man face has become my identity.

Had my DNA analyzed recently. 51% Scotch Irish, the rest Western European, Native American, trace Jewish, Caucasus, Iberian, and some oddball from Mali. I have an Anatolian Bump, among other fine features.
